INTRODUCTION

|
Located amid the rolling hills of the Somerset countryside on the outskirts of Frome, this family run business offers a warm welcome to both the experienced golfer as well as those just starting out in the sport. The membership has steadily grown whilst still embracing the Pay and Play philosophy with which it started.
The original course was opened in 1992, and with continued development which included an extension to the layout, an intensive tree planting programme, the addition of several new ponds and sand traps, has now created a superb parkland course. The course provides a challenge to golfers of all abilities, for the gentlemen 5527 yards Par 69, SSS 67, for the ladies 5001 yards Par 70, SSS 69, with a good mix of both long and short holes. The Club is affiliated to the English Golf Union, the English Ladies Golf Association, the Ladies Golf Union and the Somerset County Association. The dress code requires that collared shirts be worn and during the summer months, tailored shorts for those who like to bare their legs. Blue jeans and football style shirts are not permitted. Soft spikes are preferred to protect the greens and reduce damage to machinery on the course. The Clubhouse offers a licensed bar with a selection of hot and cold food available until 3.30pm. Please be aware that there is no facility at this time to pay your green fees with "Plastic". Facilities around the Clubhouse are a floodlit covered driving range, chipping and putting green and a bunker, all available for your practice.
